A New Hampshire man charged in the slashing death of his ex-wife has waived a hearing on the case set for Friday

SEABROOK, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man who prosecutors say slashed his ex-wife's throat and left her body in a vacant concrete plant has waived an evidentiary hearing that was set for Friday.

Court officials confirm that 36-year-old Aaron Desjardins of Epping decided not to return to court to hear prosecutors outline their case against him.

Desjardins is charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond. Court documents remain sealed and prosecutors declined to detail their case or a possible motive.

Exeter firefighters discovered the body of Amanda “Amy” Warf after responding too and extinguishing a small fire at the long vacant plant two weeks ago.

The couple divorced last year after seven years of marriage and have a year-old son.

Desjardins' case will now go to a grand jury for possible indictment.
