36-year-old Freddy Poisson of Haverhill, Mass., jumped in the water to save a 15-year-old boy but was overtaken by the currents
AP- New Hampshire officials are crediting an off-duty emergency medical technician for saving a good samaritan who tried to help a teenager sucked into turbulent waters of upper falls on the Ammonoosuc River. Officials say 36-year-old Freddy Poisson of Haverhill, Massachusetts, jumped in the water to save a 15-year-old boy but was overtaken by the currents. They say Abriana Tasillo, a Boston University student and EMT, performed CPR after Poisson was pulled from the water. The teenager had managed to climb to safety.
